Monica Truax: An Ambitious Young Woman

Monica Truax is an ambitious and highly accomplished young woman. She is a 2006 graduate of Corvallis High School in Oregon. Her time at CHS was very productive. Monica Truax played girls’ varsity basketball for three years and girls’ varsity soccer for two years. She also played Junior Varsity soccer for two years.

Monica Truax was also active in student life. She was a member of Student Council, her Freshman Class President, a CHS peer mediator, and in the Leadership class. She was selected to be a member of the National Honor Society. Membership is based on scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Monica Truax was class Salutatorian when she graduated in 2006, meaning she had the second-highest grade point average of her entire graduating class.

Monica Truax continued to excel in academics while attending Oregon State University. She earned Honors Degrees in Marketing and Spanish when she graduated in 2011, and was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, the oldest and largest professional business fraternity in the United States. During this time Monica Truax had a job at the Target Distribution Center.

Monica Truax is currently working toward an MBA at Willamette University in Salem, and employed at the
Marion Polk Food Share. Once she finishes that, she plans on heading south to San Diego, where she will study biology in the University of San Diego Honors Program.

Those who know her say Monica Truax is professional in outlook, yet is a fun-loving young woman who is devoted to her family.
